Kassel is centrally located in the middle of Germany. The city can easily and conveniently be reached via several motorways, the ICE intercity railway service and several airports nearby. Kassel offers some unique tourist attractions; almost all of them can be reached on foot. Travel in comfort by rail

Travel to northern Hesse's biggest city the relaxed way. Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe ICE railway station is served by intercity trains. Thanks to the high frequency of the ICE intercity trains, Kassel is well-connected to the German and European intercity railway network. You can catch a local tram or bus directly from the ICE railway station Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe to get to your hotel. A taxi stand is also located directly by the station.

Using public transport to get around

Thanks to its central location, Kassel is easily reached from many German and European airports. Kassel is less than 90 comfortable minutes by train away from some of the nearest airports in Frankfurt am Main, Hanover, Erfurt, Dortmund, Paderborn/Lippstadt or also Kassel Airport.
