Craft beer is on everyone's lips and is increasing in popularity all over the world. This is hardly surprising, since each variety offers a unique taste and is handcrafted with great attention to detail and a distinct regional flair. All of this (and much more) applies to the Steckenpferd brewery located in Kassel: not only does it see itself as a small and creative craft brewery, but it is also committed to increasing the (sub)cultural diversity found in Kassel. However, the main focus is clearly on enjoying beer: Things have been going well for the students Erik and Johannes since they launched their first beer called "läuft!" in 2015: The selection has gradually expanded and the delicious taste of their creative beers has spread far beyond the city limits. Beer, culture and cuisine: Enjoyment has a home here

The home of Steckenpferd can be found not far from Kassel University, in the multicultural district of Nord-Holland. Erik and Johannes set up their craft brewery in a former butcher's shop on the Pferdemarkt, which remains the hub of the company to this day. This is where their unique beer is created, mashed, purified and boiled using a 1.5 hectolitre brewing system. Right next door is the Taproom - the brewery's down-to-earth bar, where guests can enjoy fresh draft beer and other liquid refreshments, as well as authentic Lebanese delicacies. The brewery also offers space for exhibitions and other cultural events under the motto “Culture meets Cuisine”. Take a look inside: The Steckenpferd-Crew look forward to your visit!

Aaaaahhhhh: That fizzles! The combination of traditional craftsmanship with the best ingredients and creative ideas results in simply delicious and irresistible beer - such as those from Steckenpferd! In addition to their classic beer "läuft!", a fruity, hoppy Pale Ale, Erik and Johannes now have two more varieties in their line-up: the "Kellerkind", a very drinkable kellerbier which combines a variety of flavours with "grandpa's old lawnmower shed". With their "Krisen Konter Pils", they have created a fine, bitter pale lager that, when used properly, dissolves the current state of the nation into a relaxed sense of well-being. The selection is rounded off by the Steckenpferd beer liqueur, which combines hand-brewed beer and barrel-aged grain from Europe's oldest distillery with a secret blend of spices. This is probably the tastiest way you've ever quenched your thirst!
